Season 4 Map Order and Divison Structure

The more things change, the more things stay the same. Season 4 of RGL Traditional 6s will have the same map pool as season 3. The map order will be as follows:

  • cp_sunshine
  • cp_process_final
  • koth_clearcut_b15c
  • cp_gullywash_final1
  • cp_villa_b17
  • cp_metalworks
  • koth_product_rcx
  • cp_snakewater_final

Last season Invite had a slightly larger map pool with koth_bagel_fall_b9 being included as a 9th map. This will continue into Season 4 with the same pick ban format as Season 3. The updated version of bagel, koth_bagel_fall_rc1, will be used.

Speaking of more things that are staying the same, Season 4 will keep the Div-1 and Div-2 structure from last season. As for changes, Invite will look to have 8 teams this season, but will run with less if there are not enough teams to fill the slots. In addition, Div-1 will look to be run as a double round robin regular season. This means that Div-1 will look to have 8 teams and be run similarly to Invite with teams deciding each map via pick ban. If more than 8 teams are of Div-1 skill level, then it will not use double round robin and instead use swiss system. Div-2 will run the same as last season, using the map order rather than pick bans. Division admins will be announced in a subsequent article.

Lastly, there will be no changes to the whitelist for season 4.
